CROSS BARN ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Thursday, 28th October 2010 at 7.30pm on the premises

The 6th AGM of the Cross Barn Odiham Ltd., the registered charity responsible for the barn's operation, will be held on the date shown above.

The managemnent committee hopes that many hirers, Friends and neighbours of the Cross Barn will attend, being among those whose views are particularly important in planning for the future of Odiham's community hall. Only registered Friends can vote in the formal AGM decision process but all local residents are welcome to attend, and register as Friends of The Cross Barn if they wish.

After the formal part of the meeting, which should take under an hour, Giles Pritchard RIBA, Hampshire County Council Group Leader; Historic Buildings will deliver a presentation on

"The Cross Barn's big sister: The Great Barn at Old Basing"

The Cross Barn is said to have been the prototype for Old Basing's Great Barn, now fully restored and re-opened with a new visitor centre. This architectural triumph may well offer Odiham something to think about in preserving the Cross Barn as a working building for posterity.

Following the presentation, committee members look forward to meeting the barn's supporters, neighbours and users over a glass of wine.
