The Barn offers a number of facilities and amenities listed on this page, and is also wheelchair-accessible
to all rooms on the ground floor.
Audio/Visual
A newly installed, state-of-the art audio /visual system is available and its use is included in the hire charge. There is a fixed, digital projector with an automatic and integrated 3 metre screen. There is a panel for connecting laptops, iPads etc. with either
HDMI or
VGA inputs and the system also supports
Apple Play for wireless connection. There is a separate audio system available and it can be used via an auxiliary cable or with your favourite Bluetooth device for playing background music. There is a DVD/CD player available.

PTZ Camera
There is a Pan, Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) camera available for hirers using the Great Hall. This optional extra can be purchased when booking the Great Hall, for prices please see the Rates page.
This state-of-the-art camera makes presentations accessible and live to a wide local community using Zoom, making your meetings more viewable and special. For more information please contact the Manager for details.
Public Address System
Also available is a PA system with stick and lapel microphones. A wooden lectern is available if required.
Hearing (Induction) Loop System
A hearing loop system is available in the Great Hall for
people with hearing aids. The hearing aid is activated when the "T" setting is selected .
Free Wi-Fi
WIFI is available for all hirers and users of the Cross Barn.
Newly Upgraded Kitchen
As well as a modern gas double-cooker and oven there is a double
food preparation sink, a separate hand washing sink and 12 electrical sockets.
This fully equipped kitchen has crockery and cutlery for 100 place settings. There is a large
electrically operated serving hatch opening onto the Great Hall.
Newly Upgraded Toilets
The newly upgraded toilets include a separate disabled toilet and a
nappy changing facility. The lighting and taps are sensor operated.
Tables and Chairs
Available for hirers are 14 rectangular tables 1.8m x 0.75m (6ft x 2ft 6in) and
6 small tables measuring 0.9m x 0.75m (3ft x 2ft 6in) plus 120 grape-coloured fabric and metal
custom-made chairs - all of which are included in the hire fee.
Under-floor Heating
There is under-floor heating in the Great Hall and Entrance Hall for colder
months.
Terrace
A south-facing terrace is available as part of the hire fee and is an ideal area for pre-lunch
or dinner drinks or for hog-roasts and barbecues.
Parking
There is a designated parking area in the forecourt close to the ramp walk way. There is
also further parking for the Cross Barn at other designated areas nearby, providing parking for
up to 24 cars for your event which is included in the hire charge.
