The Great Hall is the largest room in the Barn and has under-floor heating and strategic LED lighting. Up-lighters bring the historic beams to life, and down-lighters brightly illuminate at table-top height. Under normal circumstances this magnificent room will accommodate a maximum of 150 people sitting and standing or 120 seated theatre-style. Seated at tables, the recommended maximum is 80.
The Great Hall is the main room for hire and measures 13.2m (43ft 4 inches) by 7.2m (23ft 7 inches) overall, including a recess at the east end.
Tables and chairs
There are 14 rectangular tables 1.8m x 0.75m (6ft x 2ft 6in) and 6 small tables measuring 0.9m x 0.75m (3ft x 2ft 6in) available plus 120 grape-coloured fabric and metal custom-made chairs - all of which are included in the hire fee.
Underfloor heating
There is under-floor heating in the
Great
Hall and Entrance Hall for colder months and for warmer months there is an effective motorised fan.
Lighting/Mains sockets
We have LED up-lighters which direct light towards the beams and down-lighters to provide bright, evenly distributed illumination at table-top height. 18 electrical sockets are conveniently situated around the hall at skirting level.
Audio System
A newly installed, state-of-the art audio /visual system is available and its use is included in the hire charge. There is a fixed, digital projector with an automatic and integrated 3 metre screen. There is a panel for connecting laptops, iPads etc. with either HDMI or VGA inputs and the system also supports Apple Play for wireless connection. There is a separate audio system available and it can be used via an auxiliary cable or with your favourite Bluetooth device for playing background music. There is a DVD/CD player available. PTZ Camera
There is a Pan, Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) camera available for hirers using the Great Hall. This optional extra can be purchased when booking the Great Hall, for prices please see the Rates page.

Fire Exit Doors & Equipment
There are three fire exits with break glass alarms and extinguishers at each exit. In all situations hire organisers must ensure good access to fire exits.
